We have a easterly blowing over from the Sahara and this weekend was very hot ( 48C in the shade, I can´t say what it was in the sun as my thermometer only goes to 50C , but it has cooled down now to 38. Most of my plants in the garden have folded and are dead now. I cold not water them as the water out of the tap was to hot to touch ( most of the water lines run above ground here and heat up in the sun)

Jesus,

I don't think I'd fancy that, I was in south Germany a few weeks ago, and the locals had great fun laughing at poor old pasty white Paddy Irishman wilting in the corner, and that was only in the low 30's.

As for over here, well it was 50 days of continuous rain last Thursday, that's some record for July.

Today I thought the volcano had erupted buy it is only a huge forest fire on the other side of the island. Mind you, with this hot wind blowing it is getting bigger by the minute and I think iy will be dark in an hour or so because of the smoke blocking the sunlight. Positive side of that is that it may just cool of a bit   I´ll take the camera out in a bit and take some pics....... watch this space

Here is pic number one ..... I´ll take more in the cause of the evening.

And I the silly bugger just went out and got some coal for the BBQ when I could just have taken the car up there and hold the steak out of the window while driving along :drink: :drink:
