Re Invent The Wheel

Is clicker training any good for working dogs in the field at distance and in windy conditions or is this just the in thing to do at the moment are people trying to fix things that ain't bust.OK I use whistle and verbal commands and I am not convinced that adding another command trigger will be a benefit to training gun dogs or other working dogs but I am prepared to be shot down by those in the know so any opinions for or against.

I myself think it is a total waste of time for working dogs, as you say distance, sound etc. People are always looking for easy answers, but the fact of the matter is you only get what you put in.
