Bsa Lightning Mk1. Any Good For Hunting?

Been offered bsa lightning mk1 had about 100 pellets through it very cheap. Its a .22. They have much accuracy ect any help would be great

i have a lightning xl that is very accurate and a great little hunting rifle putting out at 11.7ftlb, but it is the same old story, accuracy is in the hands of the shooter,

all i can say is that if its cheap enough i would definitely buy it.

ive had about 4/5 supersports and 2 old lightnings and a lightning xl.

 

there all great little plinkers and decent enough to hunt at sensible ranges.

 

edit, was thinking about a cheap supersport to 'do up' as a bit of a project.. never done owt like that so i dont wana bugger up my hw's lol

As long as the power is decent and it shoots sub inch groups it should be fine.

i have a weihrauch myself a hw77 unfortunately i dont think the bsa is in any sort of league close to it but why not give it a go when its a bargain aye!

 

ive attached a photo does anyone know what model this is i believe it is a bsa lightning deluxe? if so what differences does this have to the normal lightning,

well ive tried to but i says file to big any ideas of how to upload it any other ways?

 

I hope its not to plain obvious so i dont look like too much of an idiot!

i cant see the pic. but i think the 'deluxe' will just be a standard lightning action in a more fancy stock.

 

like the 77 .. you can get it normal stock or a fancy laminate one but its just the same gun really just diffeerent stock

nice

the ones i had between 9-6 years ago, cant be 100% sure but i dont think they had any chequering., just a plain stock. but ive slept since then lol

 

stick to the 77 for hunting mate. but the lightning will still be good out to 30yds or so if your a good shot.

ive just had a quick look on the net believe it to be a lightning se, were they have upgraded to gasram. however i may be wrong (probably)haha

duno if im wrong but i think they do a lightning SE (spring) and a lightning SE GRT (gas ram technology) and also a new supersport SE aswell.??

 

i might be wrong tho lol

just had a look mate yeah i think thats correct i may just need to run it down my local gun shop and see exactly what model it is !
