As long as you know your ground lamping should be quite straightforward - the 6.5 & .308 might have a bit too much punch so watching backstops, whilst basic, is more relevant with something like that which will still have a fair amount of energy on the other side, especially if you're using your deer loads. The 6.5 goes down to 90 grains if you homeload which would be an awesome fox round in ballistic tip at average range.

my tips would be:

When scanning with the lamp be up on sticks ready to shoot - especially if lamping by yourself. Pissing around will likely rumble you.

Don't spend too long scanning left to right, a quick & steady sweep is better as the eyes will jump out at you.

Either learn to squeek using your hand or buy a Wham / Foxcalluk etc.

Some foxs are suckers and come charging in - remember to bark to stop them before they get too close.

Watch for them quatering you to try and catch your wind - you may have to be prepared for a longer shot if they ping you.

After firing always mark the strike spot against a memorable feature & always check the strike spot - even if you think you missed it clean.

Good luck mate
