Where To Put .22Lr Suppressor On Fac Application?

Recommended Posts

I'm about to put in for my FAC and going to ask for a suppressor since when i finally find a permision to shoot will use one of the rimfires for hunting. But do i have to put the suppressor in a separate line on the guns list or can i just put .22LR Sporting Bolt action with suppressor?

So far i have:

1/ 12G Large Mag Capacity Shotgun Target Shooting Shooting Club

2/ Sporting Rifle Semi-Auto Target Shooting Shooting Club

3/ Sporting Rifle Bolt Action With Suppressor Target Shooting Shooting Club

I presume if i put it like above i can then ONLY use the suppressor with the Bolt action but if listed separatly could be used on either?

Also am i limited to only 1 suppressor or can i have one for each gun?

A moderator is classed as a separate "slot" on your ticket, so you would need to put .22lr moderator as a separate entity. You can have one for each gun if your FEO deems the reason suitable. I put .22rf moderator - reason - Health & Safety.

I have two .22s but just the one moderator and it can be used on either gun.

You would need to specify the calibres for your "sporting rifles" and I doubt very much if you would get a FAC shotgun based on being a member of a shooting club.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. :thumbs::toast:

The Shotgun is for practical shotgun and i'll put the proper clubs name down on the form just didnt want to advertise which clubs i shoot at on a public forum. Oops forgot to put .22LR as caliber in the post but will put it on the FAC form.

I'll probably only get the FAC shotgun and semi-auto 22.lr to start with but was advised to apply for more so i dont need to change it at a later date and cost.
