engraver 44
I dont know the legallity now days but when my dad was alive he used to dock the terrier pups. And he used to hate to see a dog with a bad dock. What he used to tell me was the general rule of thumb was to arch the pups back and line the tail up with its nose and dock it there level with its nose, that way he used to tell me that when you have a dog to ground and you want to pull him out you should just have at least a hand full of tail to grab and not much more.. I used to have a lakey/russel bitch that made a cracking worker real fiesty but who ever docked her tail made a right bolox of it far to short, shame really because otherwise she would have been ok for the odd show.
