Sticky Reloading Press

Recommended Posts

I reload a very wide range of calibre's and generally use RCBS lube which I apply sparingly and sometimes with my finges according to the work. do find it good practice as has been mentioned, to clean the inside neck of cases, in addition, in some situations I apply a little dry lube such as moly powder or graphite to the inside of the case neck and/or the expander button. This reduces the friction of the expander plug in some instances and also reduces the pressure on the case neck when seating. I don't find that it affects bullet pull.

I'm aware that this method probably won't interest most reloaders, I reload calibre's such as .45-75 Winchester and the less you work the brass the better.

I use a bit of 3 in 1 oil on a cotton bud in the neck it seems to do the trick but i have found if i hesitate before i bring the case out of the die ot will stick and what a f***er to get them out it can be, but with one smooth action all the way in and all the way out i get no problems.
