Show organisers throughout the UK & Ireland can apply to host qualifying events for the Master Mc Grath Challenge - to find the fastest lurcher in the UK & Ireland - final to take place at the Irish Game Fair & Flavour Fine Food Festival , Shanes Castle , Antrim on the 29th & 30th June. This fair also hosts the 26th All Ireland Terrier & Lurcher Championships so a really big weekend for working dog owners. Each qualifier gets a limited edition cap, a commemmorative scroll, two tickets to the fair and UK qualifiers received £50 towards their travel costs ( payable on arrival). There are special ferry & accommodation rates available. Winner of the event receives £500 and other prizes.

 

Also available are qualifiers for the Five Nations Terrier Championship and the Five Nations Lurcher Champships to take place at the Irish Game & Country Fair, Birr, Co Offaly on the 31st August/1st September. This fair also hosts the 6th ROI Terrier & Lurcher Championships so a really big weekend for working dog owners Each qualifier gets a limited edition cap, two tickets to the fair and UK qualifiers receive €50 towards their travel costs ( payable on arrival). All qualifying shows will be advertised in Irish Countrysports and Country Life magazine -Ireland's premier glossy hunting, shooting and fishing magazine also available to a UK and international audience FREE to READ online at www.countrysportsandcountrylife.com

      QUALIFIERS are available to GB SHOW ORGANISERS for the following CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
                                                     at the IRISH GAME FAIR, Shanes Castle, Antrim on the 29/30 June.
      1. FIVE NATIONS WHIPPET CHAMPIONSHIP
      2. FIVE NATIONS LURCHER CHAMPIONSHIP
      3. FIVE NATIONS TERRIER CHAMPIONSHIPS
      4. MASTER MC GRATH LURCHER CHALLENGE  Two dogs to qualify from each show ( over and under 23")
      5. MICK THE MILLER CHALLENGE for Traditional HAIRY LURCHERS any size. Two to qualify from each show. 
      EACH CHAMPIONSHIP HAS £200 to the Winner £50 to the Runner Up plus other prizes and quality trophies.   As the 31st ANNUAL All Ireland Championships ( Showing & Racing) also take place this weekend ( which are open all ) qualifiers can have a real opportunity to compete for titles and prizes with the best of Irish dogs. 
      To recognise the additional costs of coming to the event for GB qualifiers, they get FREE tickets to the show and special ferry and accommodation rates and each GB qualifying event organiser gets £50 for their best in show winner.
