Cleanspade 3,324
the best weatherproof coat ive had the pleasure to see on a terrier was on a jack. she was smooth coated with a thick soft undercoat . with longish guard hairs the givaway was her tail grew to look like a flag. / she could swim across a stream get out the other side and shake dry. on a soaking wet day if you parted her coat and dug your fingers through it it was bone dry below. i often wonder why all working dogs arnt sporting this kind of coat.. then i remember it wasnt the prettiest and looked cumbersome around her back legs and the flag tail thin going on. . similar to a good border collie coat,. the worst was on a black patt from around the leeds area. bred from parks/nuttal stuff. she would walk an extra five miles home in a cold wind. by tucking into the hedges and stone dykes a cracking little earthdog though. jacket. and hide i feel are all to often neglected i feel. despite the challenging situations these little dogs can end up in Quote Link to post
