Rebellious guest 2
Cheers, appreciate the tips. Only have the bandage and boots on 4 walks then I have been leaving it 2 air. Didn't want 2 start applying creams etc that would soften the pad so leaving it 2 salt water and the dog. Thanks again Quote Link to post

Taz-n-Lily 62
Salt water and rest is good. You can't speed up healing. You can optimise healing, you can take steps to ensure that healing is not slowed down, but you can't speed it up. If you can speed up healing let the Premiership Football Clubs know - you'll make a fortune! I'll just mention David Beckham a few years ago with a busted fifth metatarsal. He had every treatment known to man, including hyperbaric oxygen. It took six weeks to heal. A busted metatarsal in an ordinary mortal of the same age, with bog-standard NHS treatment, takes - six weeks to heal............. You are doing exactly the right things.
