I've had loads of lamps and the 170 variable was the best by a long shot. I've never had a lithium, I'm still using the chunky sealed lead acid but would be getting a lithium if I had the cash. If you get Tracer lamp free filter chucked in and Strickly Lamping DVD before 31.12.12 If you have old lamp just buy the lance and use a older head off striker or blitz to keep costs down..
