one-shot-one-kill 0
well lads i have being watching a lot of videos and read a few articals on you tube and other sites of people hunting with Harris hawks. looks like a great sport i was thinking of going on a hawk walk iv seen a few sites on the internet that dose them and also do 3 day courses on handling and caring for them i am seriously thinking about getting one. but i want to find out as much info on them before i go about getting one i don't want to be going into the sport blind so to speak i kept a lot of birds over the years but never a bird of prey. i was wondering if you need a licence to keep them in Ireland and how big of a aviary do you need to keep one in any info will be appreciated. BUT a harris will give you years and years of immense fun if trained correctly. so go for it . You would do well to find some one to mentor you , try putting an ad up on here and the iff stating home town and hopefully there will be some one near by to help. any questions im sure there is plenty of people on here to give advice and ill always be willing to chat via pm to try and help atb adam Quote Link to post

GazCross 0
As above. Get a mentor, read loads and get everything in place BEFORE the bird....this includes telemetry and land to fly on. Try and get out with some experienced austringers. Good luck. Quote Link to post
