FERRETBOY 680
well my 7 year old jill albino ferret has gone totally bald,i decided i would just search on here and read a few books first before i ask .i have heard alot of people say its could be mange ,old age or there hormones messing about but its a little worrying and looks scary.lol.i dont think it is mange as my other jill is ok and they have lived with each other or there life, never been split apart.there hutch and run are cleaned daily and are washed out with disinfectant two or three times a year so i dont think that this is the cause.they are now being fed on dry food but still get pilchards and sardines once every month or so but she did start molting about january time this year when they were being fed rabbit every day of the week untill march time and she had already started molting so i dont think its there diet.she did molt last year around the same time aswell but not as bad and came all right by november time. would you say theres anything to be worried about as she seriously is totally bald but doesnt seem bothered by it.any advice please. good hunting rew Quote Link to post
Guest foxtrack
my wife had a ferret like this once ,and she was fed on dried ferret food. they seem to start loosing fir fourth week in kit but i would say its a diet thing chicken is good along with rabbit give the fish a miss and try it on poultry. and died food aint no good for the kidneys either Quote Link to post
