Guest oldskool
the mrs is keen on a mini 1 diesel and it has to be diesel... she went for a look at one on saturday and she seems set to get one... i dont know much about them but i was wondering does anyone know much about them?? do they come in a turbo diesel?? the biggest question is what are they like for reliabilty?? the salesman qouted her £8,700 for a 2003 bog standard model... is that reasonable? i thought £7000 would have sounded better!!! i'm pricing around but i thought i'd ask you folk to see if i got any feedback on them

Simoman 110
Well Will I hope the new minis have more leg room that the old models. Nearly bought one as a cheap runa round years ago but unless your Frodo Bagins you ain't got much leg room, I'm 6ft and needed a sunroof for my head................ Guest oldskool
well, i am like frodo bagans... and she's not much taller ... i been on google doin my research on them and there is so many models that i'm feckin lost... the mini one d has the same engine as the yaris but then its also got a heavier body than the yaris so apperantly even though its got a 73bhp motor it still lacks a bit of puff... the new cooper D is a 110bhp and tops out at 115mph... thats more to my liking but its out of our price range ... at the end of the day her number one proirity is to buy something reliable... her mate has one of the petrol ones and its given bother... i know another fella that has a cooper and he seems to be makin full use of its warranty. other than that there seems to be plenty of them on the road so they cant be all bad
