bill83 23 Posted November 11, 2012 Report Share Posted November 11, 2012 Out this morning for a couple of hours with mydad and my son (age 7). My son has recently shown a keen interest in ferreting and I agreed to let him come along today. Pleased to say that he throughly enjoyed it, and as you can tell by the picture he is a little unsure of his new furry friends! We caugh 4 rabbits (...and managed to miss just as many). We had 2 Lurchers with us and 2 ferrets. The ferrets and dogs worked well... although we were unable to get to all of the holes. 2nd time out ferreting for the smooth coated Lurcher pup and by the end of the session she had turned on quite well to the job. The rough coated bitch is quite well seasoned at ferreting and marked the earths well. Had some good bolters that went into a woodland area which made it hard for the lurchers to keep up.
