john b 38
No need for a larsen ! I've been chucking a bit of white bread around in a spot of the garden to prebait it for my pigeon trap. Just 'on spec' I left the ouside run that we built for guineapigs in the same spot; left the lid off the covered end and scattered some of the bread in it as well as around. Came back home from Sunday lunch to find this Must have dropped into the open section and pushed it's way under the cut out arch. Anyway once discovered this magpie was not left in this cage. john b 38
No Scuba you mis understand - the guineapigs were not in the run; it was completely empty. Using any animal as a 'decoy' , wild or tame, is illegal except for the species listed the specific License under the Countryside and Wildlife Act. No it was just the bread they were after. It's basically the same as a ground level funnel trap, but without the funnel. Quote Link to post
