IanS 3
I'm looking at getting a gun cabinet so i can get maybe a shotgun but primarily a .22 rimfire and was looking at the Brattonsound RL5 but wonderd if there is anything else out there cheaper but similar with the depth for scoped rifles and ammo locker inside? lksopener 105
I think that brattonsounds are really good. We have a djs safe which was about £190. Buffalo river do some but make sure they are deep enough some are only 25cm wide and that's not big enough for the scope and a decent stock. I currently use a buffalo river 10 gun that's 36 cm deep and very good but massive. I got that second hand for £175 but its if you can find one they tend to sell quick. You need about 35 cm depth though don't go any less as they will be tight. Quote Link to post
Hawkeye. 26
Look at JFC, when I bought mine I looked at lot's, JFC had better dimensions and no sharp edges to catch the woodwork on. Why bother getting a deeper one, just turn the rifle + scope sideways so it takes up width not depth, work's fine for me. I keep 2 shotgun's and 2 scoped rifles in my 7 gun shotgun safe. BPH 0
Keep a look out on Ebay if you're not in a rush - that's where I got both mine from and you can sometimes get a great deal. Don't forget you can use a separate safe you can get from B&Q or similar for your ammo if you don't get a cabinet with an ammo compartment. Works for me. Quote Link to post
