Daryl-1998 0
i need so help.I feed my ferrets raw meat, chicks and mice i give them enough for both but they take the food out of the bowl and hide it in the corners of there cage they dont eat it until half an hour later or sometimes not at all. when i got them they had diarrhea and the man feed them bread and milk could these problems be because they had a poor diet or is it something else i purchased the ferrets on tuesday plus they fight over the food and steal it from each others hiddening places. Thanks Quote Link to post
The one 8,585
Your ferrets are fighting over food as they probably never had enough before , there no lactose tolerant so milks no good for them .Normally i would say just put enough in so they clean it up with out stashing it , but these days its cooler and you wont get as much bother with fly's so pump the raw meat into them for a week or two and they should soon settle down when they find out there getting plenty good grub Quote Link to post
