Well as above had her done on monday,shes 18 month just about and didnt want to breed her and its sends my male nuts even though hes had the chop too and dont like all the mess main reason too many unwanted dogs about these days.

 

Anyway to point shes had all her jabs in first 3 month and when i go to pick her up the vet starts rabbiting about boosters this and boosters that i said no thanks made all my dogs more ill than good lost one due to health problems since then ive read about boosters causing all sorts of health issues in animals and im thinking was that anything to do with it,also my AB was a mess all the time with boosters hasnt had them for last 3 years never been better!! fcuk that never again.

 

do any of you fellas get the bullsh!t story off your vet?

Did you let your dog have break 1st. Worse thing l ever did is get my bitch spayed cant keep the weight off her

yeah mate let her come into her 1st season she came in bang on 12 months i let her settle back down again and had her done,i know what your saying about the weight thing ill keep a close eye on her but she will be getting some serious graft done this winter mooching and road work.

 

my AB blew up terrible.

Billy i had my lab spayed 2 years ago and i cut her food down approx 30% and she's stayed lean and mean

last year she got done age 7 she had 4 litters so could be all that that has her heavy but l have cut her food down big time.She was not off lend there for 8 weeks which did not help

@mally-cheers mate ill watch her she isnt a big eater thank god only eats around 400g of dry skinners a day got her weighed shes sits at 27kilo(59lbs) just under 4 stone lean dog like 19tts.id like to get her down to around 50 to 53lbs see what happens now lol.

 

@iceman-i feel your pain with it mate i had my AB done due to aggression issues he was nice and lean at the time within 4 month huge!!best way i found to keep weight of him was just meat or tins i dont like tinned stuff but i hate fat dogs.ive got him on skinners dry at the min doing ok only feed him around 300g a day but hes got issues with nerves ect so cant get him out to walk either absolute nightmare off a dog but great at protecting our house thats it.
