sdiguana 1
I've read in many places don't play tug with a dog or it will become hard-mouthed. But i've read other people saying they do play tug and the dog isn't hard mouthed. Is this a wives tale, or is this something people have personally experienced? For those who have played tug and ended up with soft mouthed dog, did you teach it tug with specific rules e.g. dog releases as soon as you tell it to or anything else special? I ask because my pup gets more excited about tug than anything so far, and i pretty well try not to play it with him, but i've seen it used as a treat/reward for good training behavior in other working dogs. cheers Quote Link to post
