I have a flight and shed with out heat or lights so what do you lot advise? is there any ways of heating with out electric as I have my set up on allotment? any tips or helpful advice would be great thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I have a flight and shed with out heat or lights so what do you lot advise? is there any ways of heating with out electric as I have my set up on allotment? any tips or helpful advice would be great thanks Get the flight covered from the elements,feed them well,Start them on conditioning seed and a bit of eggfood at the end of january,end of April put up more nest box,s than you have pairs,all at the same height and at least 18 inch apart,then let nature run its course. Cage breeding is mainly for show birds,it does though produce more youngsters under a more controlled environment,as budgies are naturally a flock breeding species,its best to let them breed this way,as long as nest site dominance is,nt allowed by dominant pairs,more nest sites than breeding pairs,at the same height,alleviates this.
