BS40liam 203
Right its getting close to my 1st ferreting trip on my own and with my 6month old bed/whip...andy kelly nets arrived 2day so preparing everything making sure I've well prepared. BUT...as my 1st time ever using a dog for ferreting and my dogs 1st time out can anybody give me some pointers as to how to let my dog go out it? I.e keep her tied up and let her watch at 1st or just let her go about her business and wait for the bolters in the nets? Be glad to hear your oppinions. Quote Link to post

BS40liam 203
Well I'm no where near roads, and livestock has been moved to different fields to where I will be ferreting, plus my dog is completly sound together...one bowl of goats milk shared by them both and it was an instant bond lol..but what I mean by the question is while ferrets are down the set, do I just let the dog potter about or tie her down so she can focus on rabbits coming out the holes if you get me?
