john rust 45
Went out last night with John ( ferretIng 22 ) and his beddy x whipp, I took my salxgrey x whipxgrey for his first lamp of the season. I couldn't have picked a worse night, no wind and a full moon nice. We still had a good few runs with my dog picking up one so not all bad, Johns beddyx is coming on well and should do well this season, this will be my dogs first proppa season so fingers crossed. Guest long-tail
took a walk out myself certainly not lamping weather but got the pup looking down the beam within a few minutes and at distance as well pretty good for her first time out, spent couple hours on the golf course where obviously the rabbits very easy to spot had NO intention of running her but just to get her head up,just waiting for right night now to get her on the stubble for a few easy slips, think you can make the most out of even the worst conditions if your bringing a dog on at times if nothing else better than sitting in front the tv Quote Link to post
john rust 45
Too right pal, the ones we ran last hight sat tight there was no silly long slips. My dog only had a hand full of nights out last season so just building confidence again 1 Quote Link to post
