alimac 882
doxhope has got it right, one of mine will go out , course a bunnie, catch it, kill it, drop it and back to slip..... i use it for vermin control not sport or to feed my kennels/house so i am not bothered what it does with them... she is the best connie catcher i have, she will never go any where...... my other bull x will retrieve anything back to hand just a natural retriever, and like wise i would never part with him ali Quote Link to post
FERRETBOY 680
sound like a handy dog your mate had.not retrieving can be a little annoying at times deffanetly(spelling) if your poaching.but to me its about watching the dog run but going to start the pups retrieving from an early age to hopefully prevent this. good hunting rew Quote Link to post
c_greg 1
i have a dog that doesnt retrieve but i wouldnt get rid of him as long as he doesnt run off to play with his prize im in it mostly for the run! i made a couple of mistakes with my first dog but it all comes with experience i guess i have a 5 and a half month bitch she is coming along nicely Quote Link to post
