Ey up all,

 

My dogs looking for a run on the lamp in the Sheffield area. First one is a 5 year old whippet. Focused hunter and stock broken. Second is a 15mth saluki x whippet. Bit daft and in need of sharpening up, also stock broken.

Yep i am indeed, reading back I could have been a bit clearer.

 

So if there is anyone round this way that has a permission I'd be really grateful if you'd be up for taking us along one evening.

Ah right, I wasn't sure what you were asking.

 

I'm sure there is loads of land around sheffield/Yorkshire way.

Plenty of land that's for sure. It's just having permission really, and I'm fairly new to the area as well.

 

I need to pick up a lamp, probably will do start of the week. Only just getting back into hunting after around a 10 years break due to lots of work related travel. But now I have time and the dogs I'd like to get back out there.

I think you are unlikely to get anyone give you their permission. Very unlikely.

 

Someone may take you out but it wouldn't be fair to go on their permission without them and without their say so after they had taken you.

 

I would try to get permission yourself if I was you.

 

Failing that be one of the frowned upon majority (like myself) who wander wherever and lamp away. Just be respectful of land/fences/crops etc.

Absolutely, I wouldn't do that at all. I'm just looking for someone to take me out with them, perhaps a few times.

 

Just want to try and get to know people, other lampers and land owners. Then eventually I'd hopefully be able to my own permission.
