Thieving Mac 1
I'm new to the sport and I've got a greyhound/whippet x greyhound/kelpie. He's now almost 8 months and his basic obediance is good. Does anyone have any experience with a similar breeding with regards to introducing them to work? Quote Link to post
WILF 53,433
My tuppence worth would be, just enjoy traing the dog and mooching about then when it is gone a year see how it goes on the lamp if you fancy a bit of that. Bare in mind it won't be an expert from the get go so be patient matey. Enjoy 1 Quote Link to post
Thieving Mac 1
Thanks for the advice, it's so confusing there's so many theorys. Up to now he's been out with other dogs and seen them run and he's retrieved the caught rabbits once dispatched and carried them back to the car. A year is about the average time I've been told so I think that will be it Quote Link to post
WILF 53,433
My own theory is that if you have one dog, it will come on better on its own while young rather than in the company of other dogs......IMHO Best of luck matey 1 Quote Link to post
