Hob&Jill 258
As long as Its fresh I suppose it would be fine, Dunno about Rats though. I picked up a Squirrel a few weeks back, was perfect, its head had been squashed everything else was intact. Given them Pheasent roadkill too. Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Rule of thumb is that if road kill can still show ye red blood, it's ok. Just use common sense ~ something obviously sun cooked is going to be a hive of bacterial activity. Rats? I'd strongly suggest ye leave rats well alone. Never mind what Plummer said - or what anyone else may say about having fed them for years and so on. Fact is that rats carry certain Fatal diseases. I smoke. Doesn't mean to say I'd encourage you to do so or insist it's perfectly fine. Mess with dead rats and you could die horribly. So yet may anyone else who thinks it's a fine way to go on. Best of all is; If the EHO ever gets wind that you're doing it, he's very likely to say ye ferrets are now potential vectors of such disease and have the lot of them wiped out. I know what I'm talking about. I've been there Quote Link to post

Guest little_lloyd
I would normally chuck a whole rabbit or what ever ive shot (with the exeption of rats) in there noramally But if you have a decent rabbit or pheasnant why not add it to your pot? Quote Link to post
