air rifle sights

am getting an air rifle of a mate, do you have to get specific sights for the gun or does any fit, need some advice on sights please,

If your on about a scope then make sure the mounts fit the scope and the rifles got a scope grooves pretty much job done all you been to do is screw them together and sight them in

Make sure they handle recoil if gun recoils..and either get px adjustment or get one suited for air rifle distances, don't really matter though

For a scope, don't be taken in by great big impressive front lenses but instead, choose a scope and quality mounts that allows you plenty of adjustment on the available scope-rail on the top of the rifle's cylinder or what-have-you where the scope is mounted to your rifle's top surface.

 

This will allow at least something of a proper fit of your air rifle to your specific reach and eye-relief measurements and thus, help you achieve greater accuracy from your shooting with your combo.

 

Time taken to at least get a comfortable fit of your rifle and scope to your dimensions is time well spent.

 

And the rule in shooting is always; Buy cheap and you'll buy twice!
