out for an hour with the new scorpion se.

Recommended Posts

well i went and picked up a scorpion se on sun afternoon, that had been blue printed by john bowket.

i was thinking of buying something different, but this little rifle came at a price that i couldnt refuse.

anyway i got home and put a scope on it and zeroed it up. i tried a good few pellets and luckily enough the favoured pellet was the same as the hw 100. ftts. so zeroed up, i found my first live quarry, a woody. a nice long range(well long for me) but clear shot. not a breath of wind. 1 woody in the bag, for 1 shot. then it was back home cos i was in a bit of a rush sunday..

then yesterday afterwork saw me plinking at targets, in the back garden. this little rifle was pellet on pellet. no mean feat because my garden is only 25 mtrs long, but i ended up shooting flies that where landing on the paper targets. lol i know im not the only person to do this but it is fun. :icon_redface:

tonight i took my little plummer terrier for a walk down my local allotments where i have permission, and i brought the scorpion with me. we had a little walk round and saw a few woodies, but the shots wherent safe, so we left them. then i could hear a magpie cackling in a massive beech tree hopping about from branch to branch. i walked a little further on so the magpie was directly in front of the trunk, so i had a nice big back stop. i pinged it at 37 yrds, took the shot clean and the bird fell without a flutter. we sat and waited for a little while, and a woody made an apperance, that turned out to be its curtain call.

im very impressed with the accuracy of this rifle. in fact i love it. since sunday i havnt touched the 100.

and i think its a very worthy stable mate for the ks. im still going to get a rapid at xmas though, and put it through its paces. after all you cant have too many. lol

Nice read, I really like the look of the scorpion SE and when I shouldered a walnut stock version at a gun shop I was pleased with the weight and balance. I've heard from a few others they are accurate little rifles.

Ha ha what rabbits, we didn't get any, that crack you heard was the wire fence you tried shooting through and as for that pigeon you nailed him bear grills style with your hands not the rifle lol! GO reckon your next purchase should be his survival kit, you'll have everything you need!
