tegater 789
Now there are plenty of pigeons and young rabbits about on the moor edge and small woods around us, I want to ditch the barnett black widow that I occassionally pull out of the bag, and have a shot at making a decent catty, with some decent power. Not like the ones I used to make with 1/4 square black elastic, that were ok and made the occassional kills, but soon lost their elasticity. Having done a limited amount of research, I am led to believe that "theraband" is the stuff to go for? If this is correct, where is the best place to buy it, does it come in different strengths/thicknesses, and how do I attach it to the forks? With the old style elastic I used to use cable ties, but I am guessing there is a better way. I am going to attach it to an oak blank that I made a few years ago, that I then never did anything with. See photo, but I think it is suitable. I would appreciate any constructive advice and help, even if it is only pointing me in the direction of a previous thread that covers the above. Thanks
