boyo 1,398
was over there on the weekend judging the lurcher show ,had a great weekend and austin who organised it was top man and gave us brilliant hospitality as did all the folk i spoke to .the lurchers at this show were , nearly all top class, with real quality in nearly every class and. made the long journey worthwhile to see, the class of lurchers over there.i dont know if this show was differant to others over there but the owners didnt seem to take it quite so serious as over here in the showing classes and seemed to enjoy the day out regardless of results .in fact it was just like it was over here twenty to thirty year ago with everyone enjoying the day out and the craic.there were quite a lot of wheaten and bull croosses over there and the wheaten in paticalar when crossed with a greyhound and bred again to second generation were a real classy type of lurcher and seemed very popular over there, and looks a real nice type.what i would say to everyone is try and get there next year as its a cracking well run show and well worth a visit even from the uk .
