Just what i needed!

Recommended Posts

Prior to the THL meet i thought i should dust off the air ranger and have a practice.. there is no way i could just turn up and wing it with such experienced shooters arround :whistling::angel: ... and i dont want to come last either!

So...

I have just been having a quick 20yrd shoot with the daystate making sure everything is in good working order, putting a little lead through her as she hasnt come out of her slip in a month.... all was going very well.. until... I got to the 6th or 7th round in the mag .. all of a sudden my tight grouping became a tight grouping with a flyer and inch to the right and low, the shot sounded funny, much louder than usual and it was way off ..

i put this down to me :whistling: and carried on .. then another and another all grouping right and low ... also the noise had suddenly increased quite dramatically..

also the cocking had become very rough not like it usually is.. now i realised it was not my shaky shooting at fault

i was thinking 'oh common not now you tempromental piece of :censored: ' i need you in the next few days! otherwise ill have to go to the meet with a half sanded, unsilenced, unzeroed S10 ! and everyone thinking 'who's this cowboy?!' :hunter:

After looking at it for a while :hmm: .. i have found the problem..

Ive only gone and shot the breech seal through the barrel and out into the wide blue yonder :wallbash: no seal and all the air pisses back out when you shoot instead of down the barrel

If this is a sign of things to come.. :cray:

Off to the gunshop now to get a replacement

My huntsman had to have a replaced probe ring after it was not the best and air coming back out..replaced it with tougher o rings that the guys on doc recommended me, from online..I had ten for a couple of quid ,better than the factory ones..although paying that much for the gun you'd expect them standard on the daystates lol awwell..hope all goes to plan

Here you go Mole, This is the grouping before it went (the middle one) and after it blew you can see how far off it was.

And after i got the ring it went straight back to shooting right.

Its not a great challenge to shoot at 20yrds but it was more just getting back into the flow of it.

All sorted now

But which hole did the O ring make?

Glad you got it fixed! It is annoying when things like that happen.
