jcm 2,327 Posted June 3, 2012 Report Share Posted June 3, 2012 As everyone knows when your out mooching there is always the few bushes a terrier or spanial just carnt get through, but a ferret wud be ideal to put through to get the bunnys on the move for the lurchers to pick up. Has any one used ferrets through thick bushes to push rabbs out for the dogs ?? Quote Link to post

Lol I do that just get amongst the bushes and get kicking lol I knew afew old timers that used to put the ferret in their coat pocket and drop the ferret were ever they needed to, I myself would do it but each to their own. Iv heard a few people mentioning it but iv never witnessed it for my self but i think i might try it out. Be a bit off a bugger if the ferret kills a bunny out of your reach tho. Quote Link to post
BLACKWATER... 157 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Share Posted June 4, 2012 years ago we used to get alot of low lying whin gorse cut with tractor or hedge cutter it was open land so never grew much we would net runs throw a few big dog ferrets in and wait for the sport great fun you could long net to ,but we liked the purse net and dog team, there still a few places like that about ,not as many as any waste land is put into corn or barley for cash Quote Link to post
