fox digger 1,086
there is a solonoid that controls the gear changes, they can get lazy from corrosion and shite building up around them, follow the wires from the selector and you will find it, soak it in wd 40 and it will free up a bit. common fault i know of on them. usually worst when trying to get reverse.
tubba 38
Well i took the bike out the other day just ran it round the farm steady in 2nd had to use the shift tool to engage it. After about an hour the gears started to work on the es shift (weird) I just put it down to the battery being a bit low as when i came to plug my optimate back in the positive lead was hanging out of the battery connector so it hadn't been charging. I slapped a new connector on the battery and its working fine now. Ill look out for that solenoid for future reference. Thanks a lot.
