hi all

my russell just had a litter of laky russell pups the pups are doing good big strong pups the bitch only had 3 pups and there naw 4 1/2 week old i started weaning them at 4 week the thing is they dont seem to eat like pups i,v seen befor they do take food but just not much the pups are very helthy and a good weight do you think this might be because thers only 3 pups and the are getting all they need from the bitch thanks

They will prefer the milk still just take the bitch away from them more! there soon eat when there hungry mate.

Harder to wean a small litter, take them away from the bitch they'll soon eat. Also forget all the weetabix rice pudding carry on,none of that in the wild, mash up or mince some meat then you'll see them eat.

Use goats milk and there food make almost lika a porridge and put it in a big dish and let them roll and stuff in it / take them away from the mouther
