The BACSEW Pellet Pouch Review

Recommended Posts

Dear Fellow Hunters,

I would like to share with you all my experience of a purchase I made a fair while ago to answer the need all us hunting airgunners have. A silent, yet accessible method of carrying our ammunition.

I'd read a fair few reviews of various offerings including a spherical leather contraption which seemed very over priced. £19.99 and up if I remember correctly.

Now I'm sure many of you have already found your solutions, but I wonder how many of them are as suited to the purpose as this product.

If you are new to the sport, and want to purchase such an item, then I urge you to give this pouch serious consideration. Perhaps more serious consideration when I tell you it costs just £4.99 plus p&p direct through the website www.bacsew.co.uk for the Dark Tan like mine or for £5.99 plus p&p for a Camouflage one!

Being as I bought it 'blind' so to speak, I was concerned about the depth and being able to reach the last few pellets, it is a bit of a fiddle with .177 pellets but only when you really get down to the very last few so if you find yourself scrabbling, in my experience you're too low and you need to top up anyway! This isn't quite so true with .22, I also have rather short stubby fingers...

In the 12 months or so that I have owned it, it has lived constantly attached to my belt, ready for those opportunistic shots, and as displayed in the pictures, the stitching and material is more than a match for the abuse it has encountered both in and out of the field.

Another important factor and unfounded concern was that pellets would fall between the flap and the opening. Even when lying prone with .177 pellets I have not had any fall out, a huge testament to the tolerances and finish of the product.

Opening and closing is easy and near silent courtesy of the button. It only requires slight pressure to catch thus averting crushed pellets and bent skirts.

I got in touch with BACSEW to tell them of my experience and mentioned I'd be writing a review, to which I received a reply offering readers a 6% discount! Hoorah! Double Hoorah as now I have acquired a .22 I intend to purchase another pouch to save emptying and filling whenever I wish to swap rifles.

To benefit from this offer (which I'm told is limited), readers are to visit the website contact form here and quote PP1505 eBay link here for this Pouch and other BACSEW products can be viewed on eBay here. (Please note due to listing fees, items purchased through eBay cannot benefit from the 6% discount)

I hope this review helps,

See you in the fields!

Have you got shares in this ??? Been online trying to get one smile.png

Nope, but am considering sending them my tanned squizzer skins to see if they can't turn em into a pouch for me. How cool would THAT be! :boogy:

Why not try and sew your own with your tree rat skin?

That was the intention but need to buy glovers needle and waxed thread, plus it won't be as good as the pro's...

Oh, and BACSEW are happy to do toggle type clasps if you chaps prefer, but i've elected for the press stud again on my next camo pattern pouch as its proven in my eyes and operable with one hand...

A quick follow up to the original review, I've got myself the camo pouch. Equal in quality and just as functional. Here's some pics.

Now I have the Camo one for my .22 pellets, the other for my .177's so no more emptying and refilling just slide one off the belt, the other on! Simples!
