Differences are: New case Better Sony 1/3 sensor chip camera incorporated into the design. More IR illuminators. Battery and recording unit now built into the unit itself (no trailing wires). Charge port now built into the unit. Tests that I have recorded that will be going onto YouTube some time soon show it giving a usable picture at 57 metres and the trees that the mark 3 just picked up at 41 metres are now very clear.
