lurche 48 Posted April 26, 2012 Report Share Posted April 26, 2012 as stated can anyone suggest a decent stain thats safe for ferrets hutch ,picked up a hand made hutch quite old but this rain is hammering it,constantly wet. attached wet room flooring to sides for now but dont look to great any ideas of something that will stop the wood soaking the rain in think marine ply will be next port of call but quite expensive atb Quote Link to post

Then used clear varnish over the top (exterior varnish for outdoors) doesnt give the rain chance to soak into the wood.My hutch has lasted hell of alot longer.
