decent wood stain

as stated can anyone suggest a decent stain thats safe for ferrets hutch ,picked up a hand made hutch quite old but this rain is hammering it,constantly wet.

attached wet room flooring to sides for now but dont look to great any ideas of something that will stop the wood soaking the rain in

think marine ply will be next port of call but quite expensive

u can pick cheap ones up at pelaw auctions mate paid 15 pound for a two level one with pipes have a look in me galery and see what u think ATB no1 :victory:

cheers did you have to collect its miles from me but just near by they have 3 x 6 aviary flight panels fiver each any idea what they are lol

That hutch looks pretty smart for 15 quid. when are the auctions on mate?

what i did with one of my hutch's is paint it with normal shed/fence paint. Then used clear varnish over the top (exterior varnish for outdoors) doesnt give

the rain chance to soak into the wood.My hutch has lasted hell of alot longer.

Make sure ya ferrets are not around when ya paint it with varnish
