Was on the computer just now and heard a load of screaching from birds outside, so i went to investigate. I passed my ferret cwtch on the way, only to find the door open, ah f*ck, checked if they were there, weere they hell, the little stinkers had legged it. they scaled my dog proof yard and had wandered into my garden, which is full of lovely places for them to hide.

I whistled away to them (when ever i see them i whistle, as they get used to it and know its you) for 1o mins and realised thy could have got out of my garden and gone into the old peoples home behind.

I got the ferret box's out with their bedding in, just incase i didnt find them.

Then with that my favourite and well behaved one came from underneath the fence and walked streight up to me, one down one to go.

I knew the 2nd would be a bugger to find let alone catch, so i strategically placed thier boxes each end of the garden. All of a sudden, a flash of blonde whizzed passed my eyes, the ferret had came back from the old peoples home and was leggin it along my fence, all 20m of it. Finally cornered the ferret, she then found a rat hole, which i had never spotted, it entered it, but couldnt fit its arse down the hole, then ferret caught on exiting hole.

Morral of the story, always check the hutch is locked, i always do, but you let things slip soetimes dont you. First mistake learnt from an noted, and will not be done again.

I'm going to get another lock for the hutch to make double sure, as they one i have, it a bit dogy.
