Dream Permission

Recommended Posts

I've just got back from visiting a 46 acre plot that has a slight rabbit problem. The guy who owns it is trying to grow christmas trees and the big eared buggers keep chewing his sapplings.

He phoned me yetserday after a guy from the ferret rescue place I use gave him my number and said there were loads of rabbits about. Now I don't know about you but I've lots of land owners tell me they have"loads" of rabbits only to find out there are about 3 but in this case he was right. Nine oclock in the morning and the place was swarming with them.

So I am now in possesion of a signed permission letter and the green light to shoot on sight anything that could compromise his xmas trees.....result. Plus during winter all the ferreting I can handle.

I'm just charging up the nightsite and filling the rifle then it's a hunting I will go.

I'll take the camera and file a report tomorrow.

Regards

Dave

I went out monday night and got totally drenched, by 9 0clock it didn't appear to be getting any better so I packed in and went home. I still ended up with 3 but as with any new permission it's getting a handle on where the best spots are and what times work best.

The weather looks to be dry on Saturday morning so I'm going back early doors where I'll hopfully have a bigger bag.

Hmmmm gives me an idea... grow xmas trees. Make LOADSA cash, just when i need it most, and some decent sport to boot! Winner! Could even charge my mates! Arrange hunting 'retreats'.

Brrrring Brrrrrring

"Hello, Dragons Den? Yeah, it's milegajo again. No No honest now, this time i'm for real, have really sat down and thought this one through. Three words Theo;
