Foxgun Tom 75
Its with a glad heart that I report labour have suffered a devasting and well deserved defeat in the Scottish General Election. Even though!! the result is a victory for the Scottish National Party and their intended aim is a referendum on Independance it!! no way reflects an anti South of the Border attitude!! I and many other Scots recognise our strong cultural, historical, social and most!! of all supportive links with many of our friends in England and Wales These bonds are of a type that will never be broken!! As a Scottish Nationalist and a firm friend of of England and Wales this is a proud and a momentous day in my county's history Tom

Foxgun Tom 75
This will be a slap in the face for Tony Andrews Chief Executive of The Scottish Countryside Alliance, who!! in an E-mail to me dated 9th February 2005 commented "if we promote parochlialism and petty nationalism" and "we all need to belong to bigger entity than "our wee bit hill and glen" promoted bias against pro independance parties in Scotland !! Mr Andrews was in fact born in Holland and is not even Scottish! The Countryside Alliance did'nt wreak havoc on labour in Scotland they, capitulated!! and gave in, it was left to the many Scottish fieldsports enthusiasts as well as ordinary Scot's who where sick to the back teeth of the labour parties dictitorial policies to get rid of them!! Scottish Electorate - 1 Scottish Countryside Alliance - nil Tom

Why should taxes that you pay in England come north?? if Scotland gains independance?? Irelend/ Eire gained its right to be independant some time ago does any taxes raised in the UK go there?? No!! Guest Macnas
Well, to be fair Tom, we did have to declare war on the UK in order to achieve independance, so the situation and times are a bit different regarding Scotland. Whether it's a process of devolution or something more emphatic, the aspirations of what appear to be a fair proportion of the Scottish people, for a country that takes care of it's own business is a thing to be admired. Well done all who voted for a brave future.
