jasper65 6 Posted February 20, 2012 Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 never see sparrows around this garden Paulus, can honestly say we never see starlings either , the only place I see them is back in the town where my mothers lives. we get plenty of Finches aswel as a monumental amount of Bull Finches and King Harry's but thats about it ........ paulus 26 Posted February 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 never see sparrows around this garden Paulus, can honestly say we never see starlings either , the only place I see them is back in the town where my mothers lives. we get plenty of Finches aswel as a monumental amount of Bull Finches and King Harry's but thats about it ........ we have a large flock of them in a hedge over the road, i never tire of watching them, they all dart into the bushes as soon as something the size of a blackbird flys over. starling numbers have declined dramaticly here over the last few years. i was shooting yesterday afternoon down the wood and the amount of small finch`s and blue and long tailed tits was unbelivable.
