PBurns 9
I have it and know the author who is a wonderful lady. That said, this book is about American earthdog competitions and not actual hunting. It's a very well done book, but is entirely about artificial trials with a rat in a cage at the end of a wooden den liner. This kind of stuff is done all over Europe too apparently -- sometimes with a cage fox or badger, and sometimes with a caged rat. If you are looking for a treatise on earthdog trials as practiced around the world and with a wide variety of breeds, this is the book you want. If you want a book on practical hunting, this is not that. P Quote Link to post
