My last dog had arthritis, vet put him on metacam but he started getting blood in his stools so they switched to Previcox. Had a dramatic effect on his movement etc but he died of kidney failure within 8 months. Done loads of research since (why the hell I didn't do it before hand I don't know!), despite the vet denies that it was these drugs that caused the failure from my research I can say it almost certainly was, but only because of the dosage. If I could turn the clock back I'd get a supply of Previcox and only use it on the odd days when he really was stiff, not each and every day as the vet recommended. I've still got a shit load of Previcox as I got 3 months worth a couple of days before he died, PM if you want some to try it out. He was a 50kg dog and I have enough to give a dog of that size one a day for 3 months, if you used it sparingly on a smaller dog I've got enough to last you for years, it's about 90 quids worth but you can have it for nothing Quote Link to post Share on other sites
