There's a lot of rubbish collies about but a good leggy farm collie that is well used will surprise a lot of people with its catching power,fur and feather will all be caught and their stamina will not be found wanting, but as said previous if you're wanting a pure running dog then there's got to be greyhound or whippet in there,collies use cunning as an aid for catching prey just like the fox does and they will lie in wait untill they get their catch but some can be very sly always trying to gain an advantage over their owner's,most hunt for themselves with you as a bystander but they are a tough old dog that does not draw the wrong sort of attention from farmers,keeper's,anti's,etc enabling you to go about your business without fear or looking over your shoulder by the minute,atb,WM

The fact is im gona have a few dogs lol when i get my house but at the min i aint got the space lol shame. il be getting a whippet n im gonna have a play with breeding the right dog for the right job but iv gotta make do with what iv got n thats a collie lolil see if i can find a pick of him he is a pretty a big dog for a collie i think.
