ferrets jacking....

ideatation sounds good but what would they do with 100 plus rabbs a week ,and more , saw some ferrets balld about eyes lost eye teeth etc and still go on and others well pet cemetry ,great days but hard on the ferrets

whose rambo , another thing when i used to ferret for cash on large estates , i worked seven 4 in morning 3 in afternoon at times , only an inexpierenced handler doesnt no when to say hes had enough , red once you ferret starts moving of live rabbs or coming of them a bit you no hees either tired not hungry or had his best , i wouldnt hang on to them to long or use them sparinly drop there weight a little bit as some are to fat to be real keen to do a job, usaly 3 or 4 is when a ferret starts slowing down if out 3 or 4 times a week

 

whin this ferret wasnae the type to bolt bunnys, he was an out an out digging ferret an the fella i got him off will vouch for that as will a few folks on this site who had seen the hob work, it was as simple as.... run the jills throo, they wid empty or atleast move most the bunnys,, the hob was then put in an any scrappy bunnys where found an dug out,

i do do a lot of ferreting, but my kitts from last year have kept up so far, an so have a few ferrets i have used that belong to other folks, now this big hob is not even going down holes, he is just messing about, i have took weight off him, tryed him, laid him off an tried him an still no results....

I think part of the problem is ferrets getting knackered-i know mine do, so i always take extras and rest the others, they might be too fat or un fit espeachly if they are just kept in standard rabbit hutches or i have always believed small ferrets can take a battering from rabbits and decide they cant be asked anymore.

must have a bit collie in him herding them up to a stop end or a pen what you on the now jungle juice or buckfast ,had my first millar of the nite an dlast but they dont chase them into stop ends its usaly places were the are untouched or a few nests of young grown up and use it as abig stop end had that my self but they dont delibratly herd them in mate honestly

well you beleive what you want matey, but like barrybrown has just said, he has seen it, an so have a lot more members on this forum, you see whin, like i said i dont tell lies, an my door is always open to anybody wanting days out, so a fair few have seen the hob do his job before he jacked, if he hadnt a jacked id a told you to cme down tomorow an see it, im out pike fishing an theres a few handy spots on the banking
