Guest long-tail
been working nights this week at one of londons main line stations with a pest control company who are replacing some pigeon netting, the lads have their own certificates to operate the access equipment so just had to stand around for 5 hours a night acting as banksman trying to keep the piss heads and tramps from wandering underneath the work area, signs and cones mean feck all to these people and what with our foreign visitors as well i been kept busy. every night a couple people turned up to monitor the work being carried out and i seemed to be their person of interest on the conversation front apparently they are from "the pigeon protection league"well to say we had slightly different views would be an under statement. had the usual bollox about being vegetarian as well so politely told them we are all entitled to our opinions and how it would not suit me going on to explain about being brought up eating game etc which went down like a lead balloon i have to say. they asked where i grew up and seemed shocked that hunting actualy takes place in kent,i got the impression they thought there was no country side left in england where people actualy carry out hunting activities to this day, they told me all their "work"was carried out in the london area but can people that are so into saving squabs really be that nieve. anyway after 3 nights of the same old bollox as much from me as from them, the one main thing we could not agree on,although there was many others, is that............ weather you are talking about pigeons or rats, their lifes are just as important as that of a human being, their exact words.....................come on really what chance have you got with people that really believe that shit because im buggered if i know.....................
