jasper65 6
Good to see you all again, shame about the wind but the Harris's tacked onto it no problem! also good to see all of them getting on while loose together . WTF has happend to all the Rabbits on that site is beyond me? think the lads have been Lamping them with the Rimmy's.... Gave the Gos some Lettuce and Cabbage to feed him up when I got home , I have a nice juicy carrot and Cauliflower for him tomorrow to chase .... Jasp Quote Link to post

Good stuff jasp.. ..for getting these lad's out on probabey the best land i have seen.. Cheer's Millet we'll get out and about before the end of season Bud . the wind on there was blowing a Hooly lifting the birds off the fist and generaly unsettling expecially with the Goshawk. the Harris was a credit and took full advantage of the lift around the pits tacking onto the wind effortless. Its annoying as many times I could walk that land and gurrantee slip after slip just walking them up but me and WILL went for a walk and probably saw two at the most near cover, Ferreting was the only option today but still not as productive as in the past. the Gos wasn't switched on today mate, he was a bit over at 1lb 12 1/4, his returns wasn't as instant as he is normaly and as for hunting he wasn't on, I think he felt a bit out numbered with all the Harris's buzzing flying around him .... Millet 4,497
The wind is a ball ache mate especialy with a bird flown fron the glove..they go into kite mode then sit flat after doing your head in bating about.. ..had similar shite today an he was only 1/2 oz higher than your bird..fist call's where slow to start with then he went back to normal..just a damn shame i could not find any partridge for him..taking the dog tomorrow so i might get a few slip's..if the forcasted gales dont come.. I want a harris now.. espesially when you can just throw them in a tree and walk of..no matter what the wind is like.. Quote Link to post
