is it possible to use this camera storing to a memory card so that the hdd is not in use? or would the hdd always be running, as ive read using a hdd enabled camera on a springer will end up damaging the hdd?

Can you still by these camcorders new ? i have tried PC world they say its not made any more does any body know this is true

 

dont think so unless a shop still has them instock somewhere, ebay or cash converters etc probably your best bet.

iv got the dcr sr55 i think this was one of the last ones with night shot.
