dixiebop 125
Each one of the Ten Sefirots( Kabbalah) represent one of the Ten Commandments as given to Moses at Mount Sinai,in the Bible,we are told the Commandments were given twice:The first time Orally,in Exodus 20, and the second, written in stone,in Exodus 34.This was to demonstrate that the commandments have inner (Esoteric) and outer(Exoteric) meanings. like, NO GRAVEN IMAGE this is not that we may not make images or paintings ,but that they should not be "set in stone "as the only correct image. The image of God as an old man in the sky is a graven image because it excludes other interpretations.A ruling that a Human "should" look a certain way or be a certain colour - or otherwise be judged as inhuman-is also a graven image. Should we always look for the "hidden "meaning in things or just take things at face value ?
